Chris Wright

Chris has worked in School Sport since

2004, involved in developing and managing

programmes for primary and secondary

schools and running a multi-skills
sports academy.

He has a degree in Sports Studies &

Business Management.

He is an established coach on the Rugby Football League player development pathway and Head Coach of Cockermouth RUFC XV.



Rob has been a Sports Coach since 2013.
As well as working at Chance Camp,
Rob delivers P.E lessons to a range of primary schools in Allerdale.

He has a degree in Physical Education
and teaches tennis at Dalston, Eden Lawn
and Wigton tennis clubs.


Ross completed his BSC Sport/Psychology degree at MMU Cheshire University and started at Wright Sports Services in 2014.


 He started to deliver Multi Skills sessions to schools and social clubs.


He also coaches and plays rugby for Cockermouth RUFC and helps to coach family touch rugby and youth development.




Amy holds a BA (Hons) degree in Physical Education from Leeds Beckett University and specialises in multi-skills and fundamental movement development in children.
She provides Physical Education and extracurricular sports clubs to primary schools in Allerdale, along with delivering community sport programmes for children in Workington.

Amy is currently working on programmes around playtime leadership, to train Year 5 and Year 6 pupils to become part of the schools workforce helping to deliver fun and engaging activities which ensure pupils in their school increase their daily physical activity levels.


Aged 16

Ailsa is a very good Netballer who is part of a successful team at Cockermouth School. Ailsa has been coaching with Chance Camp for two years now within our Mini Star programme. She assists the coaches brilliantly and is a great support to the children making sure they can stay on task and enjoy the activities.


Aged 14

James has attended Chance Camp since he was 6 years old and has been a pleasure to work with. He has now exited Chance Camp and spending his physical activity time in the world of Badminton. James will make his debut as a Chance Camp volunteer in 2018.


Aged 15

Plays rugby for and is captain of Cockermouth girls under 15's, also plays for Keswick School and plays for county.
Maizie is a great addition to Chance Camp who supports our Didi Star programme with great enthusiasm and care.


Aged 16

Sophie started Chance Camp when she was 10 years old and won many sporting awards with us across many different sporting activities. Sophie went on to specialise in Athletics and Netball. After completing her Year 10 work experience with us, Sophie now has the coaching bug and attends the camps regularly. She works across all the age groups and is a fantastic help to the coaches and the children.
