We are delighted to sponsor Ellie Brown on her journey into professional football.

Ellie attended some of the early multi-skills sessions on Saturday mornings for a number of years where she developed her co-ordination, footwork and ball handling techniques.

Since then, and after being involved in several sports and activities she started playing for Cockermouth girls JFC when she was 10 and settled naturally in to the Goalkeeper position. Still attending Chance Camp during school holidays throughout primary school Ellie loved being involved in all of the activities on offer and getting involved with kids of varying age groups.

In October 2017 Ellie was spotted by Durham Regional Talent coaches at a Cumbria FA Player Development camp in Penrith and shortly after this was offered her a contact for the remaining 17/18 season playing in an U12 boys league across the north east region.

Ellie, now aged 12, has just been offered her second professional football contract at Durham Regional Talent Club for the U14's age group, which has just been granted Tier 2 status from the FA. Playing for an RTC provides enhanced specialised coaching to feed the women's England Pathway and also the pathway to the Durham women's first team who play in the FA Women’s Championship division.

We were delighted to help sponsor the recent original shirt designed for Cockermouth RUFC to attend the recent Chester 7s, national event.

Chance Camp coach Chris Wright was in the over 35's team and Ross McGuire was in the senior squad.

Chance Camp are delighted to be the shirt sponsors of Cockermouth girls rugby union team. This group of girls, under coach Phil Sutton, work extremely hard every week at training and travel all over the North to ensure they get games of rugby.

Wright Sport Services were delighted to sponsor and present Oliver Dustin with the 2017 Junior Sports Person of the Year.  Oliver is a  very committed middle distance runner, currently U17 national champion and is primed for lots of success on the international stage.  We wish him all the best in the coming years for a successful transition into senior athletics.

Chance Camp are pleased to be sponsoring Luke Broster's 2017-2018 season at Newcastle Thunder. He certainly fits into our ethos of believe and achieve. All the best for a cracking season Luke and we look forward to some updates throughout the season on your progress. Luke has progressed through the rugby pathway from his grassroot clubs of Cockermouth Titans RLFC and Cockermouth Wasps RUFC.

Fantastic update from Luke Broster who Chance Camp have sponsored this season.

It's been a brilliant and very tiring start at the Thunder Academy. We've spent a lot of time studying nutrition and how everything we eat has an effect on our fitness and recovery. My diet is completely different to how it was before September and I am learning to cook my own meals using fresh ingredients. I've had lots of advice on really small things such as the position I hold my free arm when I go into contact with the ball. I played a game against Wilberforce College for Thunder and two games for Cumbria and all three times I felt more confident that I wasn't going to lose the ball when I made contact.

The hardest thing I have done is work on my fitness. I can never be fit enough and we do all kinds of different things to make sure we can play a whole game. Fitness is especially important for a prop in rugby league because we spend a lot of time grappling with the opposition and it can tire you out quickly. In fact, last week we did a spinning class to work on our endurance and the week before we did cross-fit. We make sure that we do lots of fitness, speed, strength and co-ordination testing so that we know we are making progress.

Thanks to Chance Camp for supporting me with sponsorship and helping me make my way in rugby league.

Wright Sport Services were delighted to award Robbie Park of Seaton Junior School the 2016 Allerdale Junior Sports Personality award for Moto Cross achievements.
