Little Lotus Yoga, run by Bryoni Meighan

Bryoni is passionate about yoga, and mindfulness and especially about teaching the benefits to young people. Her previous studies include a foundation degree in Art, something Bryoni is also very keen to teach children. She later went on to become an early years educator, working within nurseries and schools and eventually leading up to having her own nursery class.

This prior career provided Bryoni with tremendous knowledge of children’s development and school curriculum. She has been practising yoga personally for years and decided to gain a formal qualification to teach children’s yoga as well as mindfulness. This led to Little Lotus Yoga, which offers yoga & mindfulness to children across west Cumbria.

Some of the things Little Lotus Yoga has going on are:

  • Children’s Yoga & mindfulness for ages 3 through to 14.
  • Children’s School sessions & after school clubs.
  • Half term yoga & art camps.
  • Adults Yoga.
  • Adults Mindfulness & Meditation .
  • Children’s Yoga & Art Parties.
  • And very soon . . . Baby yoga & Baby sensory.
 
Yoga holds many benefits but some of the most important are reduced stress, gaining confidence, whole brain learning, flexibility and strength, learning social skills and making friends, and of course having fun!
